Earth Day is celebrating it’s 45th anniversary this year on April 22nd.  That is just a couple weeks from today.  In what ways do you observe this holiday?  Starting this year, I want to have this day really stand out with my kids through the “green” activities we do.

I’ve found that there are Earth Day events planned throughout Indiana that look fun for the kids and informative for us.  Some begin as early as next weekend.

A simple google search of Earth Day 2015, including the state or town of interest, should bring up what is planned near you!  The Earth Day Network has a worldwide listing of events.

Some ways to celebrate Earth Day in addition to city festivals:

plant a tree,  clean up litter,  walk/ride a bicycle,  make nature crafts like bird feeders, recycle, start composting, make a garden, eat local and seasonal
