I’ve added this knotted and crazy looking rhizome to my nightly routine. I tell you what, at this point I am looking for anything to help me feel better! What I do is cut off a very small cube of the ginger (around an inch in size) and have some decaf (exciting stuff!) green and ginger tea before I go to bed. Why have I added ginger (less then 1 gram) to my daily routine? I have read over at the site Wellness Mama that ginger can help w/ digestive disturbances, nausea, and stimulate the circulatory system.
To be safe, you should check w/ your doctor prior to taking ginger for medicinal reasons. As listed on livestrong.com , they noted particularly if you are pregnant, have heart disease, gallstones, diabetes, or taking blood thinners.
